Share a holiday video greeting and win up to $5K

WASHINGTON – Nov. 17, 2010 – Do you love making videos? Grab a camera and enter the Holiday Greetings video contest sponsored by the National Association of Realtors® (NAR). A top prize of $5,000 is at stake.

NAR is looking for short videos – no more than 60 seconds long – containing a holiday greeting to homeowners or to homebuyers/sellers. The ideal video would contain a heartfelt, uplifting holiday wish. Consider universal messages about home and the special connections between Realtors and consumers – for example, “On behalf of all Realtors and the National Association of Realtors, wishing you a blessed, safe, and happy holiday season.”

Videos are due by Monday, Nov. 29, 2010. The winning videos will be announced on Dec. 6 and played on, at, NAR’s consumer website, as well as on NAR’s Facebook page and on during the 2010 holiday season.

Winning videos will receive: $5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second place, and $2,000 for third place.

Video guidelines:

• Videos must not contain sales pitches or include properties for sale.
• Videos must follow common standards for good taste — no vulgarity, obscenities, etc.
• Your video can include your name and city but not the name of your brokerage.
• Videos must be of polished quality.
• Your video must be original content owned by you.
• Videos must be 60 seconds or less in length.

NAR will accept videos in .3g2, .3gp, .asf, .avi, .dv, .flv, .f4v, .mov, .mp4, .mpeg, .mpg, .qt, and .wmv formats.
